Rescuing Emme (Attempt #11)

[2010/08/07 12:56] Nocra Neuman: /me Had crept with ease into the city through one of its side crumbling walls where the moos coated stones had fallen aside leaving a small gap large enough for her to squeeze through. The valley on the other side had forged a natural path which upon following had led her to the mouth of a cave. Sneaking in with mounting curiosity she followed the tunnel until she found herself face to face with a door. Now doors, they are a peculiar thing and unable to fight her curiosity she had to sneak a peak. The sounds above were muffled and she assumed naturally that her own noises would be dampened by the earth. Leaning forward her eye pressed against the shafts of wood nailed together trying to squint through the gap to peer into the unlit room. Thankfully due to the birth deformity her eyes were black as coal and processed light differently giving her a slight advantage to filter bits of light and allow her to see more clearly than most. In the room there were lumps and box shaped things lining the walls.

[2010/08/07 13:00] Nocra Neuman: /me She had come here with the original mission of searching for Din and the item he had stolen from her but who was to say it might not be hidden here?! "Just a quick peaksy...", she murmured to herself and nodded while pulling out a few shards of thin bone which had been carved long ago into a set of fine lockpicks. They were crude looking but served their purpose. Poking one tip into the lock she worked quickly trying to twist it enough to locate the spring pin inside the device. Thankfully living with the Black Talon long enough she'd learned a thing or two about these tuusie traps which were supposedly designed for keeping nosies out of places they shouldn't be.

[2010/08/07 13:05] Din Vaher: /me walked past a bit briskly, offering a nod towards Eden a murmured "Tal" as he sought a seat in the tavern. Standing in the middle of the room and looking back and forth between either table that lay on either side of him.

[2010/08/07 13:06] Nocra Neuman: /me Remaining alert as she worked she looked behind her a few times in a paranoid fashion and pressed on with the lock still searching for the locks inner button that once pressed would release the metal catch. The metal rattled a bit and she paused a moment listening closely to see if anyone had taken notice but it was impossible to know for certain so her efforts were redoubled and after a few ehns of tricky work she managed to free the firm grip of steel by navigating the pink into alignment with the spring. She was tempted to release a cry of triumph but quickly remembered these were enemy lands and hushed herself while tucking away her set of bone picks and slipping the lock through the metal ring on the door. Her palm pressed against the beams of the door slowly pushing inwards as it creaked ever so slightly. Thankfully the dampness of the tunnel seemed to keep the oil on the hinges moist.

[2010/08/07 13:13] Eden Nexen: /me now that they were gone she grabbed one of the muffins, she more or less watched the women make them so she wasn't worried about being poisoned or otherwise indisposed due to some interesting ingredient. She bit into one following it with a few sips of mead and just stared into a distance. At one point as the tavern got quiet and settled into it's regular set of noises she thought she heard something that was out of place but it was gone for now and she heard it no more so she shrugged. After she was done emptying her mouth she just shouted out to anyone within hearing distance.
[2010/08/07 13:13] Eden Nexen: shouts: Fresh muffins in the tavern!

[2010/08/07 13:14] Zaria Waverider: /me strode into the tavern and stopped, shifting form one foot to another. People. She hadn’t counted on that. She’d been using the tavern to sift through her stolen pouches of other people’s goods, and it had been working well. The entire place had been shifted about though, and she was sure, suddenly, that they’d found the 5,392 cut-open pouches she’d shoved under the couch next to her. Her eyes widened….and she drew a deep breath. She’d act like it wasn’t her, they had no proof at all. Avoiding anyone’s eyes if they happened to glance her way, she sidled along the edge of the room, looking for one of the little alcoves to hide herself and go through the pouches she had dangling from her belt. Stolen, every last one, but they would ensure she ate today.

[2010/08/07 13:15] Din Vaher: /me seemed to be rather indecisive in regards to the matter, though soon enough he was turning to his right and taking a step towards the table there. Hand coming upon the back of one of the chairs and pulling it out almost violently, bringing himself around to the front of it to sit down soon after. Creaking and various other noises coming up from somewhere beneath him, though it didn't seem irregular given how ancient those boards looked he walked upon. He almost tipped back onto the floor once Eden suddenly shouted from somewhere behind him. A hand grabbing the edge of the table as if he needed to steady himself, "I think they heard you" he remarked, almost angrily. His eyes moving to Zaria as had entered, trying to place the woman as she had a certain familiarity about her.

[2010/08/07 13:18] Nocra Neuman: /me Her eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness of the room as the door was finally opened, that was one small gift of being different..she rarely had need for tharlarion oil lanterns to light the way. Inhaling as she stepped inwards she caught the mixed scent of mold, food and alcohol. She stood in the center of the store room debating on her next step when a voice above shouted and she was nearly tempted to dart out the way she had come, but the voice didn't seem to take notice of her and so she settled back to work. It seemed unlikely that what she was searching for would be here but never-the-less she was determined to try and leave no stone unturned in Skerry. Already she had come and gone a dozen times or more and no luck had been had to retrieve what was hers. She moved over to a sack first and used her dagger to quietly guide the honed edge along the seam until the contents began to pool out into a puddle of grain on the floor. Her hands sifting through it like sand for any lumps they might be hidden.

[2010/08/07 13:23] Eden Nexen: /me chocked as she was biting another piece of muffin off when se turned to see and heard Din, "Didn't see you there Din." she simply remarked maybe a bit apologetically. She grabbed a few setting them atop of a small plate that previously sa on the counter and started moving towards Din with them. She saw Daria and blinked, she saw her many times before but this time she just stopped and stared at the woman as it finally was getting into her busy mind, why was Daria always here. At least thats how it seemed to Eden since she was always in the tavern, or almost so. Coming over to where Din sat she set her hand on the back of tha chair he was sitting on and slightly leaned over to set the place with steaming hot muffings in front of him. Tilting her head a little she smiled and asked, "Would you like some mead to go with that or bosk milk?" he appeared in a foul mood and she was going to be nice today. As she straightened and got out of his personal space her ears picked up a rather familiar sound, one (c)
[2010/08/07 13:23] Eden Nexen: that wasn't usual for this part of the tavern she stilled and then slowly looked around. Her voice lowered into a whisper as if she did not want to disturb whatever noise it was, "Did you hear that?" she asked him

[2010/08/07 13:24] Zaria Waverider: /me found herself a tiny little narrow space between the sideboard and the wall. It would be perfect, unless anyone decided to attack her, she’d have no place at all to move about. Still…it was out of sight, which served her purpose. She slid to the floor in a crouch, eyes flickering furtively towards the door, and she yanked a pouch off her belt. It was light, but sometimes that was good. She’d tugged it from the belt of a sleeping man in a grungy gray robe on the boat from Siba to here, she’d only had the thing less than ten ehn, but it was the one most readily found….besides, Z liked to work upwards, hoping for the big finish with the richest-looking pouch. Using her blade, she snicked through the strings and dumped it on the floor. Her eyes rolled and she shook her head. Four little coppers thunked on the floor, not even enough to buy a candle, much less a decent meal. She threw the pouch on the floor in disgust and reached for the next, scooping the change into her free hand and shoving it in

[2010/08/07 13:28] Din Vaher: /me had offered Eden a glance over his shoulder, Zaria disappearing into some corner by the time he had even looked back. His mind still filled with thoughts of the visitor, remembering her but unable to quite recall exactly why just yet. Soon a plate of muffins was hovering just behind him, he seemed to smell them as they grew nearer. The plate soon placed upon the table just before him, causing his attention to go to it almost immediately. Din thought himself to be rather attentive, though once Eden had made mention of mead his focus was only on the potential drink he were about to receive. "I did hear that" he remarked, though he thought Eden was asking if he heard her first question. "Mead will do just fine" he added as his hand slowly reached for one of the muffins. Pressing on the top of one of them like some sort of touch test, eventually pulling it off the plate and bringing it towards his face for closer inspection, "I can already tell this will make me thirsty"

[2010/08/07 13:32] Nocra Neuman: /me Se proceeded down the row of bags propped up against the wall in a methodical fashion, the next was clippings of wool and after fishing around with her hand she realized there was nothing hidden inside. The next was clearly suls and she had to be careful while trying to look through them, they shifted against each other produce very dull thuds and at last she gave up and moved on to the crates. She felt her way around the room with ease, as comfortable in the blackness as a nocturnal beast. The crates were sealed and impossible to pry open without making noise so she abandoned them making a mental note of where they were so she could come back another time. Spinning away from the north wall she moved to the southern side, underneath the stairs which offered more cover. Crouching over the taps on the casks she twisted them open one by one allowing the contents to steadily stream onto the floor making large puddles of mead, paga and wine. Hearing a door creak open on the other side of the room she
[2010/08/07 13:33] Nocra Neuman: /me ducked behind a crate until the traveler had passed into the room upstairs. Thankfully she hadn't been seen and she exhaled a shaken breath and moved more quickly.

[2010/08/07 13:36] Eden Nexen: /me the thoughts of Zaria were long gone and she wasn't moving, instead Eden pressed her index finger to her lips and grabbed Din's arm to get his attention. Without saying a word she pointed to the floor as if to indicate that they should be quiet and listen. The grain dripping stopped but the thudding of what seemed to be suls hitting each other appeared and then after a while the liquid pouring onto a wooden floor. Eden knew the cellar better than her own face and her eyes went round in shock the grip on Din's arm tightened as she squieezed trough clenched teeth, "In the cellar, someone is in the cellar." hoping he would make it out before she released his arm and started moving towards the latch. She stopped then and looked out one of the doors thinking that perhaps maybe Din can go trough the latch and she would take the outside entrance.

[2010/08/07 13:40] Din Vaher: /me had turned the muffin between his fingers a few times, though eventually the top of it came at his parting lips. A large bite taken, one that seemed to destroy about half of the treat. Crumbs cascading down his beard and getting stuck somewhere on the journey towards his lap. "What?" he asked with a look back to Eden as she squeezed him, sending much of the muffin right back out of his mouth as he spoke with it full. His eyes followed her finger soon enough, taking the opportunity to swallow his food. He tossed the half eaten muffin back upon the plate however, hands pushing at the tabletop as he reluctanctly got to his feet. "I don't hear anything" he growls, seeming a bit irritated but that might have been permanent. He thought for a moment it could have been Zaria, for he hadn't noticed where the woman went. He didn't expect she had slipped into the cellar so quietly however, "Someone is probably just unloading something" he remarked as he began to make his way towards the latch, looking to Eden as he
[2010/08/07 13:40] Din Vaher: stood beside it. Speaking as if he had to reassure her.

[2010/08/07 13:43] Nocra Neuman: /me By the time every cask had bleed dry the store room was in shambles and would most likely take a pack of jiras many ahn to clean properly. Corn, grain, suls, wool, and a concoction of numerous drinks littered the floor in a sticky mess as they congealed together. It was slippery but she was sure footed and with a disappointed sigh she spun away planning to leave the ruins of the store room behind her as she navigated her way back to the door she had picked open in the tunnel, unaware that Eden above was growing suspicious of the muffled noises she had made during her search. She cast one look over her shoulder then slipped out the door into the tunnel take care to close it behind her. She would have locked it too but it was impossible to do it seemed from the outside. So it was shut but left unlocked.

[2010/08/07 13:44] Eden Nexen: /me she shook her head furiously as she moved to a nearby table and slowly lifted the lantern, "No unloading today, only the bonds will bring some fresh hearb and vegetable from the farm to the kitchen." she still spoke in a hushed tone, "I heard grain spilling and liquid." she told him and nodded towards the side entrance her legs starting to move that way. She was furious now, not even a bit scared it was evident in the tight grip of her fingers on the lantern and the straight line of her tightened jaw muscles. She nodded to Din before turning all the way to the East and walking out of the taven the lantern in hand. I would be funny to look ather but she care naught for it.

[2010/08/07 13:45] Zaria Waverider: /me looked about before she cut into the strings of the second pouch she lifted from the small pile. She could hear talk, yes, but it sounded far enough away that she didn't hesitate to continue in her work. She hoped for the best, as always, and prepared for the worst. It was the one thing her father had told her that had actually stuck....well, that and to kick a man square in the balls if he got too close. Her father had been a realistic Torv, and when it had come to his only daughter, he'd not bothered to mince words. The blade snicked through the strings, and she dumped it on the floor……scowling as she saw four dull coppers, not even enough to buy a decent cup of mead, and what appeared to be a cheap copper hoop earring. Z’s nose scrunched up in disgust, obviously the owner had been enamored of some slave girl and had stolen her earring. Or perhaps it had belonged to his mother, he’d looked the type to have been sired by a slave, all limp-wristed and pretentious mannerisms that had made Z smirk
[2010/08/07 13:45] Zaria Waverider: as she’d cut the strings that held the purse to his belt. Little shit deserved what he’d got, and Z was just unhappy that the foppish man’s purse had yielded so little.

[2010/08/07 13:49] Din Vaher: /me was still somewhat confused, uncertain of all these supposed noises. He could hear the conversation just outside, but he bent over and went for the handle of that hatch. Recalling it was locked when it hadn't budged, his hand fished around within a pouch to retrieve the key. Working to eventually get it open so he could step inside and descent towards the cellar. Eden had already disappeared, leaving him to move down into the room in the darkness. The open door provided a considerable amount of light ont he stairwell, though it seemed to get darker as he moved lower. "I don't see anything!" he shouted, wondering where Eden was by now.

[2010/08/07 13:52] Nocra Neuman: /me She had just finished closing the door behind her when she heard the clear ring of approaching steps down the tunnel and sure enough an ehn later Eden appeared in the gloom clutching a lantern in one hand. She debated on whether or not to rush upon her with a dagger since clearly she had the advantage. She looked left then right finding only rock and no where to hide and then suddenly there was the booming voice of someone in the cellar where she had just departed. Another step or two and he'd land in the mess she had made. Normally she was calm but in this situation she had grown nervous and cursed her foolishness for searching now when she should have waited till nightfall. She knew now she was trapped between the man in the cellar and the woman blocking the tunnel so she faced what seemed to be the lesser of two evils and tried to bolt past Eden, her arms flailed wildly in an attempt to knock the lantern holding woman aside so she could flee.

[2010/08/07 13:54] Zaria Waverider: /me hefted the next purse into her lap. It seemed to be the coup de grace, it was the heaviest by far, and the most finely made, of supple verrhide that had been dyed a rich, deep cobalt hue. She’d lifted it off a scribe who was passed out drunk at a tavern on the Argentum Road, he’d leered at her in a drunken way before he fell face first into his paga bowl, so Z had had little reservation about sidling over to him, snuggling up to him as he lay passed out, making it look like she was trying to wake him so she could screw him for money…..and stealing his purse. Untying the strings….the purse could be sold as well, no need to waste what one could turn a profit from….she turned over the purse. A distinct grimace formed as she stared down at the contents. While the loot was nice……12 silvers, 7 coppers and what looked to be a silver signet ring with a garnet seal in the center of it….what caught her attention was the ivory polished device, finely crafted and buffed to a high sheen. Concentric ri
[2010/08/07 13:54] Zaria Waverider: dges adorned the shaft of it, widening as they went down….and the thing ended in a little hollow ring. “What kinda bastard puts a BUTTPLUG in their pouch…” Z whispered softly to herself as she shoved the item behind the nearby hutch. REALLY, what was the world coming to?

[2010/08/07 13:59] Eden Nexen: /me she was quickly descending into the cave before the door into the cellar. The ray of light from her lantern raised high above her head would light up the way all the way to the door where she spoted an interesting looking person to say the least. Remaining in the tight space that then opened up into a more roomier cave she heard Din and quick shouted in response, "Out here, she's out here." Thank Odin her wits were about her as Eden usually was a sharp cookie, being a thief had called one to posses certain skills. As she was charged, if that could be called that the lantern went flying somewhere behind Eden. The space was small however, even for someone as small as Eden there wasn't much room to move; she did get knocked to the side in the process hitting the dirt wall behind her with a thud but then she used her feet against the same wall and pushed herself from it launging with her arm stretched to grab Nocras hair. The hair was long and loose and hopefully she had pretty good chances of getting it (c)
[2010/08/07 13:59] Eden Nexen: into her grip
.
[2010/08/07 14:03] Din Vaher: /me was trying to be rather careful, his eyes still adjusting to the darkness of the place. He reached the bottom of the stairs, expecting his next step to be upon the floor of the basement. It wasn't. He stepped upon a number of spilled suls, which seemed to roll in every direction as he came atop them. His foot subsequently swung forward and caused him to fall backwards onto his ass. Landing with a low -thud- that was followed with an angry growl of a man who had just fallen over. His hand swatting at the floor to find the culprit, soon angrily throwing a few suls towards the wall as if it were going to solve anything as Eden had begun shouting. "I'm coming" he yells out, clambering to his feet as his boots began kicking at the suls wildly. He knew where the door was, but he was a bit slow in getting towards it. He didn't know what else to expect, his arms stiff in front of him as he awaited his hands to hit the door. Soon sliding down it until he could get to the handle and pull it open, thankful to find
[2010/08/07 14:03] Din Vaher: the tunnel was not quite as dark as the cellar. He would shut the door quickly behind him as he moved forward.

[2010/08/07 14:03] Zaria Waverider: /me dusted off her hands, and cast one last glance toward the larger room. All seemed well enough that she could leave her little hideyhole without gathering too much attention to herself. Carefully, she rolled the fine verrhide pouch into her belt and then gathered the others, casting them to the flames in the fire across the room. Dusting herself off, adjusting her clothing so she looked all proper and respectable and nice….well, as nice as any guttersnipe could be…she strode out into the room, trying to look like she belonged in there, and wasn’t using the space as her personal little hideout. She waved a couple of fingers at yummy and nearly sagged in relief when she saw Din had left his spot at the table. The man made her nervous, she’d spoken with him before, back when she’d been wearing the skimpy outfits of a treeslut and had run amok shooting her bow off and moondancing and all that. She’d tried, Odin knew she had, but it wasn’t in her. She liked bathing far too much to be a panther.Sh
[2010/08/07 14:03] Zaria Waverider: e heard Eden’s shout and her brows lifted….whatever it was, whoever it was….they hadn’t picked a good place to thieve from, that much was obvious.

[2010/08/07 14:06] Nocra Neuman: /me She had made it...one...two...nearly three steps past Edens tumbling form and her expression was that of victory but her escape was short lived and she felt a sudden snag and her head jerked back harshly causing her steps to come to an abrupt halt. Her tangled nest of dark hair was locked in the shouting womans hand securing her for a brief moment. She looked in the direction of where the lantern had fallen only a few paces away and winced trying to pull herself foward enough to reach it and then kick backwards to hopefully send it hurling in the direction of the womans legs. She was nearly there...so close to freedom that it was maddening. She lashed her arms like a wild cat, twisting and scratching at any bits of flesh she could find. Her eyes blazed with fury and recognition as she caught sight of the man exiting the cellar from her view over Edens shoulder and she hissed enraged by the sight of him.

[2010/08/07 14:12] Eden Nexen: /me it seems she fetl, the silky texture sliding along her hand and fingers as they clenched tightly about it and then her wrist was twisted to wrap some around her hand in a tighter grip. She would yank hard then trying to pull Nocra back a little and get her off her feet and throw her off balance. Te lanter came flying at Eden's feet and she kicked out to send it over to the side hitting the wall and shuddering the fire going out of it in an instant. She yelped at the sting of a burn to the side of her leg where it connected with the hot object but thankfully she was actually wearing pants so it was just a sensation and not a wound that she would have to deal with. The hands and arms came next scratching at Edens clothing, it was far from pleasant as she suspected some of it is going to be shreaded now and the nails would soon hit her skin. So she pushed her ass backwards and started dragging Nocra towards Din trying to keep all parts of her body save the hand and arm that held the mamba's hair away from(c
[2010/08/07 14:13] Eden Nexen: the vicious little thing as she looked to Din with a grimace on her face, "Little help here, get her arms.' her voice was rising with every word.

[2010/08/07 14:17] Din Vaher: /me hadn't hesitated to dart forward when he noticed some scuffle had ensued, still entirely uncertain what was happening. He couldn't yet recognize Nocra as she flailed around in the dim light. He of course recognized Eden since he knew her to be in the passageway already, and he tried to get to her aid as quickly as he could. Eden had already been attempting to drag Nocra in his direction, but once the lantern had shattered he was having some difficulty in seeing everything. Squinting as he reached forward and tried to get some hold on the women. They weren't remaining still and making it easy for him, but he tried to get both arms in between Eden and Nocra to separate them at first. He figured he could handle the other woman enough, trying to push towards the wall of that tunnel.

[2010/08/07 14:20] Nocra Neuman: /me She felt herself getting dragged forward a bit by Eden, the woman was larger and the hold on her hair was extremely painful. Her head whipped to the side releasing a haunting cry, like the caterwaul of a wild beast. Somewhere in her thrashings her hand had twisted down to her belt and in a yanking motion she had pulled the bone carved dagger from its sheath. The tunel was extremely narrow and the wrestling of three bodies was bound to leave them all with a few bruises and scuff marks from the sharp points of stone. In the plunging blackness as the lantern died she threw herself into action with the fleeting stores of energy in a wild attempt to free herself. The dagger whipped in a swinging motion from left to right taking aim for anything that might be blocking its path.

[2010/08/07 14:23] Zaria Waverider: /me settled at the table, tossing her booted feet up onto it as she relaxed. The day’s meal was paid for, she’d survive another day, and maybe even have enough to get a good drunk on later tonight. Money was easier to steal than food, she’d found…easier to transport, easier to hide form others….it was her target of choice. She dug her hand in her pocket and counted out her ill-earned winnings with one finger, humming a Tahari melody softly as she did it. Oblivious to the scuffle, she thought about what she might eat…she’d heard the call of muffins, and it sounded good…but she needed food, not a snack. Who knew, maybe they had some roasted tarsk or some sul soup with bits of fish floating in it. Pocketing the change again, she tied her hair up, hoping it would make her less recognizable. She usually wore it down, hiding her face a bit, and she considered that maybe the few here that DID know her from her time among the panthers would fail to notice her, now that she was all washed and not flas
[2010/08/07 14:23] Zaria Waverider: hing inappropriate bits of skin to such an extreme.

[2010/08/07 14:25] Eden Nexen: had kept Nocra at the length of her arm the hair still wrapped about her hand but there would be plenty of room for Din to do something as she tried to stay as far the hell away as was possible. Eden hadn't known yet of the extent of damages she simply was aprehending what she thought was a thief at this point. She was one herself and well it was a territorial thing, the caste didn't take lightly to others stealing in their territory and definately stealing from them. She was fueled by rage when she felt a slice upon her thigh nicked in the scuffle. Her attempts to keep her body away from Nocra had increase and it would only cause her to pull the womans hair more as she tried to pull herself away. She tried to kick at Nocras arm, the one that held the blade to hopefully cause her to drop it but that would be as far as she would go.

[2010/08/07 14:29] Din Vaher: /me had his arm at Nocra's chest, pushing her towards the back wall. He had expected to simply overpower her, pin her back against the stone so he could begin to actually ask some questions. Before he had a chance for all that, a blade had swiped across his forearm. He felt the cut, though it wasn't light enough to survey the extent of the damage. Warm blood running down towards his hand almost immediately when he pulled back. The opposite hand had gone towards hte hilt of his sword almost immediately, ready to draw it out and blindly thrust towards his attacker. The lack of light and Eden's presence perhaps gave him second thoughts, for it seemed Eden was kicking at her. He took similiar action, his boot was raised and he kicked hard at Nocra's midsection with it. Trying to keep his distance when she was swinging the dagger so wildly.

[2010/08/07 14:36] Nocra Neuman: /me She knew if captured most likely she would die for coming here in search of what Din had stolen from her...and for that reason perhaps she seemed to have more strength than she truly had. She struggled and resisted as best as she could but it was a challenge, there were two of them and one was a fully grown man with strength enough to crush her skull with one hand if he tried. Panic rippled through her veins mixing with the adrenaline surging through her...but it wasn't enough. She gasped suddenly as a foot, whether Din and Edens caught her in the rib and she felt a surge of pain ripple through her body. She wretched nearly vomiting but a lump in her throat prevented her from doing so. In a last attempt to get away she swung the dagger upwards slicing through a length of her hair like a sickle through grass. The clump in Edens hand was tugged away and her head snapped upwards finally free of at least that mess. Her relief was short lived however as Din managed to collect himself and attack.
[2010/08/07 14:37] Nocra Neuman: /me She felt his boot swept up against her belly and the blade dropped into the mud as she bent forward choking as the wind left her lungs.

[2010/08/07 14:43] Din Vaher: /me was mad now to say the least, not only holding resentment for his new cut...but the tumble he took in the basement as well. A dull pain still resided in his tail bone, though that was currently the last thing on his mind. His now bloody hand had balled itself into a tight fist, leaning over towards Nocra as he kept the other hand upon his sword's handle. "You cut me again and I'll slit your throat" he says sharply. He could make her out well enough int he dim light, though he had to piece it together to remember who this was. He would recognize her with a better look at her face. That wasn't his intention now, instead letting his fist fly towards the side of her head in a quick strike. He didn't want her gathering herself and suddenly stabbing at the two fo them again.

[2010/08/07 14:48] Eden Nexen: /me she watched the dagger or so she thought, the darker shape of the object flying to the side. She hadn't registered the slack on her arm until she jumped for it. She grabbed the dagger with what was supposed to be her free hand only to find her other one free as well save for the hair that was left in it. She spread her fingers and let it drop ot the ground as she turned around blocking the exit from the cave with her body once again and holding Nocras dagger in her hand. She looked to Din unable to see the cut but she heard him and pulled first on one of her sleves cutting it off at the base where it was simply attached under her arm pits and then at the other as well. Holding two lengths of fabric in her arm she moved forward. Her own cut on her thigh didn't bother her much, as it was hardly more than just a scratch, she was too far away and too well clothed for it to be otherwise.

[2010/08/07 14:54] Nocra Neuman: /me She still had her club and bow...buth it seemed unlikely they would be effective to use in the small tunnel. Thankfully it was still slightly dark due to Eden now blocking the tunnel behind her. But there was no where to run with Din on the other side. She didn't have long to think however as Din used her brief glance in Edens direction to his advantage. His fist collided with the side of her head, the world spun, she formed a cry but it gurgled in her throat and the next ihn later she toppled forward weakly and slipped into a forced spell of unconcious slumber.

[2010/08/07 14:58] Din Vaher: /me looked down to his fist and then the newly limp Nocra before the hand would fall towards his side. He hadn't exactly trusted she were actually out cold, but he stepped forward and let his hands run along her back towards her waist. He felt the club, mainly because it was in his way. A few hard pulls on the weapon to get it off of her, trying to toss it aside so he his hands could return and slide around her waist. She was rather small, but he still grunted as he tried to pull her right up off the ground and get her over his shoulder. He looked to Eden then, stanidng somewhere in front of him with the strips of fabric held forward, "Whoever she is..." he says, still waiting to get a better look at her face, "She made a mess of the cellar"

[2010/08/07 15:01] Eden Nexen: /me the falling of her figure and the thud confumed that the punch had hit it's mark. She moved closer then side stepping to let more light in. She watched him haul her up to his shoulder but her attention was on his arm. She grabbed it to make him stay in place, without a second thought about it and one of the length of fabric was tied tightly above the bleeding wound. A small nod in reafirmation of his words, she would go in later and check. For now however she grabbed the little womans arms and brought her wrist together tying the other length of fabric tightly about them, just in case. "Well perhaps you can find out who she is. Go up to the tavern, I will fix your arm for you."

[2010/08/07 15:05] Nocra Neuman: /me As he hoisted her up over the span of his shoulder her body swung against his back and from that angle all the arrows in her quiver fell to the ground most likely getting trampled under his boots. She didn't stir just yet, the force of his fist had been devastating enough to render her body immobile in pain. She didn't feel her limp arms being laced together with the scraps of cloth but eventually when she would awaken no doubt that fact was certain to piss her off. There was nothing more in the world that she hated than being rendered unable to defend herself and to a mamba her hands were secondary weapons as were her teeth. A small trickle of blood dripped down Dins back in a scarlet stream, sometime during the fight she had bit her cheek leaving it raw and inflamed where one of her filed teeth had poked through the skin.

[2010/08/07 15:12] Zaria Waverider: /me woke from her doze with a start and a slight jerk that nearly sent her chair tumbking backwards. She caught at the edge of the table with a muttered curse and made sure she was steady before she felt for her pouches. Nope. All were where they should be. Blinking the haze from her eyes, she looked about. It was still quiet, still calm. Licking her lips, she stretched, wriggling in the chair to make herself more comfortable. Putting her feet up had been a mistake, she decided. Never safe to sleep where anyone could get to you. Her eyes slid about the large room, took in the only other seeming occupant, and then she rose, headed for some water. She needed something to drink, and mead would just put her back to sleep. Her normal instinct, the one that told her to simply head to the server and take what she wanted, she shoved down. Sometime, somehow, over the course of her wanderings, she’d come to the unconscious choice NOT to steal from this place. Thus, she slipped back and simply fixed herself a cup of
[2010/08/07 15:12] Zaria Waverider: water, it was free, or should be. She pulled a cracked cup form her pack and filled it, then returned to the table, once more, perhaps foolishly, shoving her boots up onto the table.

[2010/08/07 15:12] Din Vaher: /me held his arm out as Eden had pulled it forward and worked to wrap it with the fabric. He nodded, though he realized she might not even notice in the dim light. "I'll find out" he replied, uncertain if the woman had other weapons upon her. He had only hoped she would be out long enough for him to get her upstairs. He would wait another ehn or so, making sure Eden had ample time to finish before he would work to move past her towards the tunnel's entrance. He didn't feel like carrying her through the mess in the cellar, especially give he had no light. He instead took the scenic route, wanting to go up over the road to the side door of the tavern. Arms wrapping around Nocra's back to hold her steady.

[2010/08/07 15:15] Eden Nexen: /me with the immediate concerns out of the way she returned to the wall and picked up the lantern, it wasn't posible to relit it until she got to the tavern again so she just held it at her side and walked towards the cellar door. She swung the door wide open hoping to get some light from the outside into it so she could see. Thankfully Din left the latch open as well and she was able to see some of it, what she did see sent a tremour of ourage trough her body and she just grabbed the door and slammed it shut before pivoting on her heels and heading out the cave to the top

[2010/08/07 15:19] Nocra Neuman: /me By then several ehn had passed and the motion of being carried over his shoulder was beginning to awaken her. She groaned releasing a small pitiful squeek but didn't yet move. Beneath her lids her eyes were twitching and her muscles tensed slightly as sparks of pain began to ripple through her making her dreams turn from pleasant to ones of discomfort.

[2010/08/07 15:21] Din Vaher: /me would move through the tavern, feeling slightly out of breath after . She was rather light in terms of limp bodies, but he was tired and the short scuffle in the tunnel had done nothing to help this. Slowly he began to lean forward as he approached the far wall, working to dump Nocra into the lone chair beside a small table. He took a deep breath, stepping back to observe her in the light of that room. Now able to get a good look at her features for the first and recognizing her almost immediately after.

[2010/08/07 15:31] Nocra Neuman: /me Almost effortlessly her body was deposited into the chair and since she was still unconcious it was a miracle that she didn't just fall off the wooden perch. Her arms were bound behind her back which somehow helped her remain level as her hands stuck betweent he wooden shafts of the chair back. By then she began to regain her senses...first the small, it invited her to breath deeper, the meats cooking greeted her nose...soon sound began to mix into her dreamlike state, the crackle of the fire and finally the warmth of the room and the various aches from the fight forced her eyes to spring open. She flinched from the light for a moment taking time to adjust to the brightness of the lanterns. Her head jolted upwards and twisted in Dins direction though she didn't dare speak, knowing without question she'd soon discover the extent of his anger she didn't dare press her luck realizing the situation was not in her favor.

[2010/08/07 15:35] Din Vaher: /me looked down towards his right arm, now trying to see how badly she had even cut it. It was a good gash, how deep he couldn't exactly tell but it had certainly been bleeding a lot. He tried to put his mind elsewhere, looking back at the rest of the tavern, spotting Zaria and then sonjasi. Both sitting rather quietly a short distance away. "Tal" he shouted out, not directing the greeting towards either woman in particular. He turned back to look at Nocra, her eyes suddenly wide and clearly no longer unconcious. His fingers began to curl inwards, creating another fist. This one came at her again, though extremely slow in its approach. Knuckles pressed lightly at her jaw so he could push it forward a few times and nudge her head. "Nocra" he remarked, figuring the name the slave had used was accurate.

[2010/08/07 15:37] Eden Nexen: /me had set the useless lanter back onto the table, she ignored the opened latch door for now. She would take care of what was the most important in her mind first. Disapearing into the kitchen she came out with a bowl of warm water, her hands and arms mashed albeit the rest of her looked dishieveled if that was a good word to describe it. Walking over to the table next to where Din was she pushed the plate with muffins aside and set the bowl down onto it's surface. Then after she just disapeared into the alcove that was her private quarters. She was stil oblivious to the others when she came out shortly with a bag, which usually held her medical supplies, the most necessary ones.

[2010/08/07 15:40] Zaria Waverider: /me head spun about like a top as Din shouted his greeting. Her eyes widened and she froze for a moment. For the briefest instant, she considered running her ass off out of the nearest door. That would look suspicious though, so she simply nodded her head and mumbled “Tal” right back at him. Thankfully, he seemed more focused on his victim, so she turned around and hunched in her chair, trying to seem inconspicuous. Occasional she glanced back, just to make sure no one was looking at her, but she listened intently, and despite her best intentions, her gaze slid back over her shoulder, watching the exchange.

[2010/08/07 15:42] Nocra Neuman: /me She had learned his name as well during her search of him but chose not to speak it just yet assuming it would only anger the brute. She darted her gaze over to Eden who was busy with the task of bodily repairs then turned back to the bearded man doing her best to remain calm. She sensed she was in danger but for now there was nothing she could do about it and hoped perhaps some luck might fall her way. Perhaps they would get raided as was common in these lands or perhaps he'd get distracted with other business allowing her to escape. Her feet were unbound but she held them still not wanting to draw attention to that fact. As his fist hooked in the direction of her jaw she flinched outwardly but kept her piercing cold black hues upon his face. By now she was wide awake, her temple throbbing from where the blow had met its mark and she was certain a rib had been cracked sometime in the fight.

[2010/08/07 15:47] Din Vaher: /me looked back at Zaria again, still unable to recall his last encounter with her. He was reasonably distracted now of course, and his gaze wouldn't linger long. "I hope you brought that helmet" he said, so loud as he was on the verge of shouting. He figured she hadn't of course because he couldn't see it. He looked down to the bowl upon the table, figuring he knew enough what Eden was up to. He had pulled the hand away from Nocra, choosing to dip it in the bowl a moment to at least get a majority of the blood off. "I considered offering to meet some place neutral" he says whlie he shook the excess water from his hand, "I am pleased you have made this easier"

[2010/08/07 15:50] Eden Nexen: /me depositing her bag next to the bowl of water she decided to move the muffins onto another table. As she came back she untied the cloth from aroudn Dins arm and used a small knife to cut it into two down it's length. She held them out to Din, "Her legs." she said simply. She had that way of saying things or giving a look that would let people know what she meant, it was part of being a thief, they have never worked alone and silent ways of communication were imperative. "At least you know who she is, maybe you'll know where she's from so we can recover all the lost supplies." there was a disgusted grimace upon Eden's otherwise rather lovely fitures as she remembered the store room.

[2010/08/07 15:53] Nocra Neuman: /me She had begun to regain her proud composure, her tense features remained unrevealing of the fact she was afraid. She listened as each of them spoke and then at last mustered up enough courage to reply. Her tone was unwaivering as she answered in a thick schendi accent which had not been tamed depsite centuries of living with the Talons. "I have it. But ...it is not here of course.", she stated truthfully. "It was hidden..I would not risk carrying it just in case we met and odds were not in my favor." If he killed her now, he would never get it back.

[2010/08/07 15:55] Zaria Waverider: /me watched in silence, her gaze unblinking as she studied each person in turn. It paid to watch, being a thief, it paid well, and often, in unexpected ways. Talk of a helmet intrigued her, piqued her curiosity, so she settled in the chair, it was obvious that Din had his focus on the woman who’d been trying to thieve from them. For now, she figured she was safe enough so she relaxed slightly and began to unconsciously twirl a lock of raven hair about her index finger, an old habit she’d been unable to break herself of. It calmed her when she was tense, and often her father had said she’d twist a lock right out of her head….it hadn’t ever happened though.

[2010/08/07 15:58] Din Vaher: /me narrowed his eyes on Nocra as she spoke, wearing his displeasure upon his face. His hand still hovering somewhere in the air above the bowl. He pulled it towards the opposite shoulder and then drove it forward in a backhanded slap at the seated woman. It were still wet and he thought it would make a good noise. He looked down to the cloth afterward, having heard Eden's words, soon reaching for it and moving to one knee rather ungracefully, "she lives in the hills of Tharnock" he said. Trying to keep his hands in front of him in case she decided not to keep her feet steady.

[2010/08/07 16:03] Nocra Neuman: /me As his hand struck downwards it took all her strength to not bite into his hand, she was tempted to naturally but had common sense enough to know it would do her no good and only succeed in getting her into deeper trouble. Her mind was sharp despite her age and she knew for now her only ace card was the fact that she held the secret of where his helm was located...and he had her doll...the only thing she had ever valued in life. They were at a stalemate in a sense. Her brow furrowed as his hand withdrew and she turned her head aside to spit another mouthful of blood. The slap had caused the gash inside her mouth to resplit and seep again but she didn't complain.

[2010/08/07 16:10] Eden Nexen: /me nodded as she watched the man insist on using his bad arm. Her mind had delved into her memory as she remembered the last time or the time before the last that she was in that area. It was when Kassau backstabbed them and she recalled just a flash of this woman when they were rescuing their people, "Black Talon" was a mumble more meant for herself than others. She waited patiently for Din to finish tying up her legs to the chair, ready to help if needed but she just wanted to get his arm bandaged up so it will not start bleeding again.

[2010/08/07 16:12] Din Vaher: /me had reached for her legs, pushing them together so he could get the cloth around them. Wrapping slowly around her ankles so he could get her secure. He looked up as she spit, smirking as he watched the blood depart towards the floor. "I would have given that stupid....toy... back for my helmet" he said before looking back down. Wanting to get the cloth into a knot so it wouldn't come free too easily. "You shouldn't have taken the slave" he added while reaching his hand down to push to his feet. Wanting to reach out with his right so Eden could finally attend to it.

[2010/08/07 16:17] Zaria Waverider: /me was listening, absorbing everything she heard, her index finger still moving in that repetitive circle that twined her hair about its tip. She understood now. That helm, the one she’d seen Din wearing before….it had obviously been stolen….and it seemed that the nearly naked woman there had it. She turned back to her now-empty cup and then tucked it away into her pack, amongst the small packs of herbs and the pressed kanda leaves she usually carried. Pretending to be dozing, she closed her eyes and just sat there, silently taking in everything that was said.

[2010/08/07 16:18] Nocra Neuman: /me She perked a brow at his words and was suddenly very confused. "Taken a jira? I never took any slave." Her words were truth she hadn't done what he was claiming and she tried to make sense of it. "I spoke to a jira once...but did not touch her. She was outside the gates just sitting there. I told her to bring you a message and that was all." She had felt him binding her ankles but didn't move a muscle it was unlikely that she could have outrun him anyway and unarmed as she was she'd easily have been picked off by an arrow or two. Falling silent for a few ehn she regained her composure and decided upon another tactic. "I propose a trade then...my doll and I will give you back your helm and will not step foot in your lands again unless of course one of yours attack or steal from me again." She might be a mamba but she could keep her word if she wanted to.

[2010/08/07 16:25] Eden Nexen: /me without a second thought she grabbed Din's arm and pulled a rep cloth out of a bag, dipping it into the water she wiped at the wound and the area around him. She tried to be gentle but also fast besides she knew he could handle some discomfort. Some pink colored water would drip on the floor besides them then she dried it with another rep cloth and with her one awailable arm rummaged in the bag pulling out a jar of agrimony salve. She opened it still using one arm as her other was holding Din's, she was an expert in this now hardly taking any time at all to move from one task to another. The salve was smeared over the wound, it wasn't deep enough to needing stitches, she prefered the tissue heal itself, less chance of scaring or infection. Finally a roll of bandages was pulled out and it was wrapped tightly about Din's arm with a few neat knots when she was finished. She heard Nocra and shook her head in disbelief, "After what she has done in the cellar I doubt she would be leaving these lands, perhaps(c
[2010/08/07 16:25] Eden Nexen: a collar and we'll take her back with us when we go to recuperate the losses so she can show you where the helmet is."

[2010/08/07 16:28] Din Vaher: /me had nearly forgotten how well Eden could heal, but of course that all came rushing back to him as she worked quickly to fix up his arm. He flashed her a quick smile, but that would disappear almost instantly. Looking back to the woman in the chair as Eden had been finishing. Nocra's offer wasn't well received, eyes widening some as if it had taken by surprise. He looked away from the woman, exhaling a full breath as if he were getting frustrated. "She delivered your message, and told me you fools would hunt her down if I didn't do it." he said while looking back."Now she has been missing nearly a hand" he said, beginning to sound angry once more. He didn't know for sure who had taken her, but he had done the math. His plans had changed in the past day, finding it almost too convenient Nocra had nearly been dropped upon his doorstep. "I was thinking along the same lines" he remarked while looking to Eden, "for someone has to make up for the lost slave"

[2010/08/07 16:33] Nocra Neuman: /me The woman seemed to underestimate the value of what had been taken from her, she would die for it and had told Din so when he had taken it. A collar would not be anything that would force her to share the location of Dins helm, it was her only hold over him and if he didn't give back her doll...she would never reveal the location of his helm to him and that she had vowed. She was not like these city dwellers who held to fear of collars, pain, death...no...she was a mamba, fierce and proud...but not just any mamba, she was queen of the clans and had held her title for as long as most could recall. Mambas tended not to live long in their morbid world there were always enemies against them but she had used cunning to get by and was the eldest known mamba in existance at the ripe age of five hundred and nine years of age. Though you would never tell due to the serum she had been given by a green when the serums were invented just after she had reached of age. She remembered that day well.
[2010/08/07 16:36] Nocra Neuman: /me "We did not take your jira.", she stated simply and rolled her shoulders in a shrugging motion, "Nor do I know who did." It was true, she didn't know. They had left her with a warning and message for Din and had gone on their way that day. If she was missing then they'd have to look elsewhere for her. She did not harm women or slaves, to eat them would be to make ones self weaker. She was picky and had firm beliefs about such things and only would partake in the ritual of meat if the victim had been a man whom she had defeated in battle. To grow strong..one must take the strength of another. And that was how her own clan lived.

[2010/08/07 16:43] Eden Nexen: /me when she was done she threw all the useful things back into the bag and closed it swinging i over her shoulder then picked up the trashed and the bowl and went back to the kitchen. She left the captive woman and forced her out of her thoughts for now going to switch her attention to herself. The scratch on her leg was an annoying stinging and her clothes, well they were ruined. So when she emerged from the kitchet she headed straight for her room with a bowl of fresh water in hand and her back still over her shoulder. She yanked the curtains shut but would listen to the conversation in hopes to gaining more information.

[2010/08/07 16:46] Din Vaher: /me hadn't been inclined to believe anything the woman said of course, given how she had been apparently messing with all their supplies within the tavern's cellar. He knew already she was stubborn, that had shone through as early as the counter upon the rooftop in Tharnock Hills. He wasn't very patient however, even though he might claim to be. He looked down upon his arm, glad to see it had been taken care of. He figured the cut might very well leave its mark upon his arm, but it was nothing he was concerned with now. "You said you would take her. She is gone." he says, as if she would now see it his way from the statement. His attention back on Nocra by now, only looking away briefly as the distraction of the curtain being pulled shut caught his attention. "Your doll will be tossed within the fire, and I will take it upon myself to retrieve the rest of your possessions"

[2010/08/07 16:52] Nocra Neuman: /me "We didn't say she would be taken and in fact it wasn't even I who threatened her if she didn't deliver the message to you, it was a man who had been traveling with me that day and he said he would do something to her feet if she forgot to give you the message.", she answered defiantly then narrowed her gaze upon him with such intensity that he would sense her contained rage bubbling to the surface. "If you do your helm with never be found and rust away over the years into nothing but worthless junk.", she threatened in return playing the same game as he did. She had no other possessions of real value other than weapons but they had no sentimental value in comparison to the doll he had already beheaded. Her glare remained upon him and through the doorway behind she saw a flash of movement in the distance of someone running by but it was impossible to see clearly whom it had been.

[2010/08/07 16:55] Zaria Waverider: /me jerked awake again with a start, her eyes flew open and for a moment she just stared about as if the world had turned upside down. Maybe it had, she was not used to dozing off in public like this, and it had happened twice now, in the very same spot. With a grunt and a quick rub at her eyes, she stood up. Her feet were up, that was the problem, she told herself. Feet up equals passing out, at least for her, and so she went vertical, stretching a bit and glancing back. She wasn’t sure when she’d dozed off, the crackle of the fire and the voices behind her had faded into nothing but a blur and she’d passed right out. Maybe it was the twirling of the hair, who knew. Either way, she saw that Din and the pale wildling were still deep in discussion, and Eden seemed to have disappeared. Z kept her mouth shut, rather than interrupt their conversation, and she slid towards the door, surreptitiously checking her pouches once more to make sure they were all there and that none had gone missing while she slept
[2010/08/07 16:55] Zaria Waverider: . Again. Like some geriatric.

[2010/08/07 16:56] Venom Vemo: /me thought there was abit to much people here.. this was for surely going to be risking for fucker at this time, she bites her lip and looks around, maybe if they thought she worked here like the nice women said, she nods to her own thoughts then makes her way to where the paga would be.. she would look abit sussed with a sak over her shoulder but they all seemed busy so .. she would do what she was sent to do and may not even have to anoy anyone..

[2010/08/07 17:00] Din Vaher: /me had pulled back some, listening rather intently to her reply. He remembered Saleenya had indeed made mention of some man, but he couldn't piece it all together exactly. The fact that Saleenya had been stolen just before another raid had also played more in Nocra's favor. He was reluctant to buy her tale regardless. "You must have the helmet at your home" he said, like he could know its location himself. "That is where you told me to meet" The same logic had driven him to the conclusion about the stolen slave just about, and he didn't like the idea of losing the helm for something he deemed so worthless. "Now tell me" he added while brushing one hand back along his belt, blindly feeling for the hilt of his dagger. He knew it were back there somewhere. "What is so special about that thing of yours"

[2010/08/07 17:15] Nocra Neuman: /me His question caught her completely off gaurd having never expected anyone to ever ask the reason for why she had clung on to the now well worn and faceless doll, the material so old that in places the stuffing had leaked out leaving it almost as thin as paper. She knew it would not last forever but she clung to the only thing she had to remind her of another life. No one had ever questioned her about it and she had never told anyone the story, not even her former mate who had now been missing for over a year. She turned her head aside and inhalde a shaken breath inwardly torn and debated before answering his question with a question of her own. "If I tell you...will you return it to me? Or at least promise not to destroy it...even if you kill me?"

[2010/08/07 17:19] Eden Nexen: /me some time later she came out changed into a workable dress as she knew she would have to tackle that mess in the cellar eventually. She went for the kitchen and picked up the lantern on her way there. A relit lantern in her hand she went down the stairs into the cellar, hanging the lighting devide on a hook just below bow but not stepping into the mess herself. She squinted her eyes looking about and taking stock of what was beyond recover, most of the liquid had seeped trough the cracks between the earth now. "Oh great, it will smell like mead and paga mixed now." she mumbled. Hiking her skirts up and climbing to the top she closed the latch finally not bother to lock it. Looking to Din as she said with much dismay, "It's all gone, the mead, the paga, sa tarna, wool. Only the boxes seem to be untouched and the suls can be washed." Her intent and somewhat hateful gaze then shifted to Nocra, "Now what sort of a foolish human being would cause such a destruction, what did you hope to gain from it other (c)
[2010/08/07 17:20] Eden Nexen: than a collar around your neck?" Eden asked with all seriousness.

[2010/08/07 17:20] Din Vaher: /me fingers had slowly curled around the handle of his blade, drawing it out as she had replied. Eventually it would make its appearance, lingering just in front of his right hip as he kept his eyes glued upon her own. He was trying to gauge how genuine she was even now. He found it hard to believe she would care so much about the object, it seemed so useless to him. His helm hadn't really been worth all that much either, though he figured it at least still did a good job at protecting his head. "I'm not returning anything without getting what is mine first" he said, briefly considering stripping her while she remain tied. He realized there really was almost no fabric on her body at all, so he simply continued to talk. "and I won't be giving my word on anything until I see all that damage downstairs"

[2010/08/07 17:31] Nocra Neuman: /me She gazed blankly ahead, the dagger reflected the dim light of the taven and she acknowledge it with a small nod then turned her gaze back to the man, "I won't lie...it is a mess...I was careless in my search of what is mine....but to you tuusies the loss to me is that of a mother losing a child...grief is a powerful motivator..it makes us do things we regret and even causes us to be blind of certain dangers. Yes..I ruined your goods but goods can be replaced and what you have of mine can never be replaced. I will find a way to replace your goods...it is only wool and drink...my grandson is a brewer the drink I can get easily and we have verr to sheer their wool is fine." Her tone was softer than it had been in years, struggling to contain her emotions as the thought of losing something so infinately precious haunted her ever since he had taken it.

[2010/08/07 17:32] Sienna Mirabella: /me came into the tavern for no reason other than to see if there was any trouble to observe, for she loved watching the angst of others, it amused her, excited her and opened paths to manipulation. Her innocent face smiled at them, she hardly new them, she didnt want to know them, she just wanted to use them for everything she could. "tal" she said a sharpness to the word that showed her not to be as friendly as she made out. She moved back after she heard the words of the woman, she sat in a seat just to listen, such information was good , she was pleased.

[2010/08/07 17:40] Orpheus Fairlock: /me entered into the tavern and iterally threw himself onto the chair, glancing over at the one and only evil Sienna, he simply grinned at her, sharing an evil sneer that was like a secret handshake among secretly evil people.

[2010/08/07 17:47] Sienna Mirabella: /me woke from her sleep and glared at Orpheus "tal" she said again glaring but this time with a twinkle in her eye

[2010/08/07 17:49] Sienna Mirabella: /me had itchy feet, she wanted to maniuplate, destroy and laugh at what she had done, she had no mercy, no decency, no morals and it was fine with her. "care to create a situation" she whispered to him, he was like-minded, or so she thought.

[2010/08/07 17:49] Orpheus Fairlock: /me watched her wake up, he could have sworn that was drool running down her cheek. He did NOT find drool attractive, unless it happened to be on his organ whilst he was being pleasured. Now THAT was attractive. In any case, he simply grunted to her "Tal". He considered her words then, and nodded "Aye, a situation, lets talk about it after you fetch me some mead."

[2010/08/07 17:51] Sienna Mirabella: /me pointed to the barrels sitting in the alcove "I tell you what, I will fetch myself a mead, and possibly you, if you have a coin to throw this way, then perhaps you might get your own" her voice was soft as silk, as sweet as candy, yet you could not misinterpret her meaning.

[2010/08/07 17:55] Orpheus Fairlock: /me watched her, he delighted in toying with her, causing little reactions in her. It was hard to do, she was cold, calculating, manipulative. He would like to see her squirm, like to do something despicable to her just to see what kind of effect it would have. But she would be hard to upset, a simple order for mead was no where near sufficient to cause the reaction he wanted. He simply waited and thought about what he would do to her. "Tell you what, get me some mead or I will make your life hell."

[2010/08/07 17:56] Orpheus Fairlock: /me watched as Vlad ran in, wondering what he wanted, as he diverted his gaze from Sienna.

[2010/08/07 17:56] Slightly Ordinary: /me sorta rushed in, unsure what she was really interupting but she chose to say it anyway .. "I think we've company .. i peeked through the wall theres a few i've not recognized on the docks there.. " she juts a finger behind her then runs off knowing there aren't many of them here at all!

[2010/08/07 17:57] Orpheus Fairlock: "That's odd." he said, as Vlad ran out. He got up to investigate. "I'll expect me mead soon, SIenna.." He heard Slightly and then ran behind her.

[2010/08/07 17:57] Sienna Mirabella: /me laughed "tell you what, I shall make your life hell and get you a mead, and the drool, you never know where it will end up, but I am guessing you are willing to risk it" she laughed, throwing her head back, not the joyous laugh of some but one that sounded put on, forced.

[2010/08/07 18:01] Nocra Neuman: /me Din had grown silent, perhaps he was meditationg and mulling over her words. As she watched Orpheus and Vlad enter the room she stiffened in the chair and raised her chin slightly recognizing them both. Orpheus she had held captive not long ago and Vlad...well she knew him seeing her wasn't bound to be a welcome sight. Perhaps he had forgotten her face as it had been so long ago that their paths had crossed. Though thankfully he didn't seem to take notice and fled from the tavern in a rush, Orpheus on his heels with a drawn bow. Her interest peaked and she leaned forward trying to capture a glimpse of what was going on. Outside she heard a cries and the twang of bowfire and then a moment later Vlad returned. She looked upon him intently with oynx hues and flashed a small grin, "Tal...long time since I seen your face." She hadn't forgotten him, having been captured by the man in the lands of the Dar-kosis and dragged here to Skerry a year before.

[2010/08/07 18:11] Din Vaher: /me looked back to the woman before sinking to one knee. Taking the dagger now, but it was lowered towards the fabric that held her ankles. "We will make the exchange here....not in Tharnock" he stated plainly. Sawing through the thin strip of knotted fabric that had been holding her legs together. It was easy to cut apart, tossing it aside once finished so he could rise to his feet. "and you better think of how to replace those goods in the mean time" he added before stepping back.

[2010/08/07 18:13] Nocra Neuman: /me Outside she could heard the raiders invasion, the clash of steel upon steel and the repeatative hum of bowfire filled the air. For a moment she was hopeful that perhaps it was a rescue intended for her but after a moment she chidded herself for having such a foolish fantasy, no one knew she was here. Vlad spinning away without a reply to her greeting captured her attention briefly and she leaned back against the chair with a heavy sigh having long since grown uncomfortable. Once her feet had been freed she stretched her legs in relief, wiggling her toes to forced the blood to flow back to them. The flesh prickled but it was only a minor nuisance and she knew she was lucky to still be breathing at all. She didn't trust him but right now her options were limited so she simply nodded once in agreement to his demands.

(Sailed home)

Rescuing Emme (Attempt #10)

[2010/08/02 14:01] Stirling Warblood: /me woke up from his slumber. Shaking his head slowly to get the sleep from his eyes. He looked over and saw Nocra still laying beside him. A small sigh left his lips, he had thought this was nothing but a dream but now he sees it is reality... "Wake up, Mamba" He said as he nudged her with his body. His arms were asleep and tingling and he couldnt feel his hands.

[2010/08/02 14:07] Nocra Neuman: /me She was a deep sleeper, a flawed trait but one she'd never managed to break. Thankfully though due to her status in the tribe none had ever dared try exploit that fact. As he nudged her and spoke she simply groaned and curled up even closer to his backside. The warmth was intoxicating in the cold chamber of the cavern and she drank deeply of the warmth radiating from his bare flesh. Slowly though she wrestled herself into a state of semi-conciousness and grumbled in a nonsensical manner about heads rolling. At last she struggled to rise and blinked twice then turned to face him. A wry grin formed upon her lips studying his rugged features, not bashful to gaze bluntly at the jagged lines that marred his flesh. "Sleep well Alar?", she questioned while tracing a fingertip along the rise of his cheek towards the patch covering his eye. Her curiousity was unquenched and she leaned in closer trying to sneak a glimpse of what lay beneath as she lifted it gently away from his eye socket.

[2010/08/02 14:11] Stirling Warblood: /me felt her move and curl closer against him after he nudged her. He looked up at the ceiling and thought to himself Great a mamba that loves to snuggle. When she got up and looked down at him, asking if he had slept well he nodded his head... "Oh yes. My arms are bound behind my back, I cannot feel my hands and my arms are as useless as a Kajira on the frontlines of a Battle." He said with a smirk before he felt her hand rubbing against his skin and moving to the eyepatch he wore. When she tilted it up, she would be able to see only shadows, but within those shadows would be an empty eye socket, the red flesh on the inside of his socket curled outwards as if his eyes was ripped from the socket and anything attached to it almost came out aswell. He turned his head to the side though, as quickly as he could when she lifted it. "What more do you want from me?" he asked her.

[2010/08/02 14:16] Nocra Neuman: /me As his head rolled aside the angle of firelight flooded the empty cavern which had formerly held a peeper allowing her to get a detailed glimpse of it. She had taken eyes before but had never seen what one looked like once the wound had healed, by then they were generally dead. It fascinated her and she was tempted to jerk the patch away completely. "Why do you wear this thing...? Are you ashamed of your wounds? I see no purpose that it serves than to conceal a mark of battle. Are you shamed by your loss?", she asked bluntly in a series of rapid questioning. Hearing his own question she pondered it with great thought then answered, "To know you. Your people. What you are. That is what I want. To know my enemy. For that is what you have made yourself to me the moment your sword swung in my direction."

[2010/08/02 14:20] Stirling Warblood: /me turned his head away from her allowing the eyepatch to fall back over his lost eye. He thought about the questions she asked and took a deep breath before answering... "My eye was taken as a child. It is not... a Mark of battle." He said in a low voice. It was something he was ashamed of... "Our Laager was attacked while the Men went to raid a city for more food. They came into our Wagon and grabbed my mother, holding her down... I picked up a simple kitchen knife and jumped on the man... He dealt with me easily and as a punishment, took my eye from its socket with his fingers." He said. "I do not tell anyone because it is a mark of shame." He said through gritted teeth before she spoke of what she wanted of him and he turned his head to her... "My people are the Alar. All you need to learn of my people you can learn through fighting them." He said with venom to his words.

[2010/08/02 14:27] Nocra Neuman: /me She listened with a vast amount of interest, envisioning the story he shared in vivid detail. In her mind she could hear the songs of clashing swords, smell the burning wagons and taste.....taste the blood which had once oozed freely from the wound of his eye. She trembled inwardly and leaned towards him, her small form pressed almost intimately against his chest as her tongue extended and swept upwards in a lashing motion. A trail of saliva beaded upon the rise of his cheek, glistening in the amber firelight like a stream of tears he had not yet shed. Withdrawing quickly she watched his reaction to her gesture and asked a question which was certain to be met with hostility, "And your mother, what happened to her? And you forget...I fought an Alar...I did not learn much other than that they fall like any other man and snore just as loudly as I try to sleep."

[2010/08/02 14:32] Stirling Warblood: /me had been looking away from her. His eye cast upon the fire still burning in the underground area. He wondered to himself how they could live with it, there was no ventilation within the cave to let the smoke get out so it must be stinging the eyes. It was then that he felt her body press against his chest and her tongue sweep across the flesh of his cheek. He only blinked and turned his gaze towards her, He knew Mamba's eat flesh and began to wonder if she was trying to guess how he would taste cooked. When she opened her lips and asked the question, his eyes narrowed... "She was raped and taken from the wagon. It was the last i saw of her. I was left to bleed in the wagon. The last living male of my clan. The City had tricked us, and surounded the Laagers Men. They cut them down and sent warriors to the Laager to kill the children and take the women into captivity." he said to her in a slow calm voice. "And you did not face me on open ground." He added before looking back to the fire.

[2010/08/02 14:37] Nocra Neuman: /me "I faced you where YOU attacked me Alar. You chose the location of battle not I. Be thankful I have allowed you to live. Perhaps I should not and yet...I have.", she answered firmly not taking any of his antics about the fact that he had lost. The first swing had been done by his hand, she had had her back to him and would have left that day and been on her way to the docks. "Explain to me this word...Laaa...Grrrr..", she commanded trying to pronouce it in the same manner he had done.

[2010/08/02 14:42] Stirling Warblood: /me only laughed lightly when she continued to speak of him choosing the battle... "I chose the battle because you showed Disrespect to an Alar allowing you to leave those lands unharmed!" He said with a snarl to his voice... "We Alar bow down to no one. We take whole cities with our charges and take from them what we want. DO not think i would allow a Female who is a Mamba get away with such a thing." He said, the snarl still present... "The Laager is where we set up our wagons. If you do not know of Wagon people, then you would be hard pressed to understand. We are Honorable and Generous people. But we do not take time from our days to explain ourselves to Enemies." he said, using the word she had called him.
[2010/08/02 14:49] Nocra Neuman: /me She merely smirked, a hint of amusement evident upon her proud features. "And you do not think that I think the same of you Alar? To allow you to live despite your disrespect to me? I am not one who permits those to live who talk down to me. You offended me first and yet still I would have left you to your peace but you attacked with my back to you. You speak of honor yet you do not act as a man of honor would. You claim I am merely a female to you and yet you feel the need to swing a sword at me as if I am a worthy opponet in battle. And who won that battle Alar? Not you...clearly not for you have spent a night in my binds...in my den...as MY captive. Do not forget this Alar. You were bested in battle, blade to club, against a mamba....a female mamba....by ME!" She settled down into his lap, knees bent and thighs spread over his thighs in a lewd fashion. Her body faced him and she grinned then tipped her head forward allowing her filed teeth to pierce the thin veil of flesh on his shoulder. Her mark.

[2010/08/02 14:53] Stirling Warblood: /me listened to her words and looked down down at her into her black eyes with his one blue one. "And yet you would not be able to get the same effect if we were to fight again. Sword to Club, you would never best me again." He said to her before he felt her body move to sit on his lap. He looked at her wondering what she was doing until he felt her teeth peice into the flesh of his shoulder... He winced and closed his eye tightly but did not yell out or scream.

[2010/08/02 15:01] Nocra Neuman: /me His blood pooled in her mouth flowing freely from the wound like an eruption of sweet lava. It burned from the heat of his veins but brought her strength and nourishment. It took a considerable amount of effort not to drive her teeth in deeper, to sample his flesh but she held restraint and withdrew. Her dark eyes pierced him, studying his tense reaction as he closed his eye and she smiled wickedly. "You will not die Alar, tis only a mark so that you will forever remember this day. I need not fight you again. I fought you once and won, for me that is enough proof. But you are young and as strong headed as a bosk...it humors me and I enjoy your stories of these people I have never known....so for now you will live but dare not cross me again for I shall not be this gratious next time."

[2010/08/02 15:06] Stirling Warblood: /me opened his eyes again when she removed her teeth from his shoulder and he turned his gaze to her... He had nothing else to say to her. He was done playing games. He was a Warrior, the best of his Laager and rumored to be the best of all the Alar. He turned his gaze from her towards the fire and stared into it. He would not forget this day, In his mind it was War all over again. He would see this village burned to the ground and standing above the flames and smoke he would be there, his sword covered in blood and this Mamba's head held high within the grip of his other hand.

[2010/08/02 15:13] Nocra Neuman: /me She flicked her fingertip against his brow to snap him out of whatever day dream he was having. She wasn't nearly finished with him and wasn't going to have him passing out over a mere flesh wound. Still remaining perched on his lap her hand reached down to her belt retrieving a bota of water, the cork was gripped and tuggled loose by her teeth and then offered to his lips. "Drink.", she commanded simply and squeezed the skin to force a gush of water against his lips.

[2010/08/02 15:16] Stirling Warblood: /me felt the flick against his brow and turned his eye towards her... He saw the bota being grabbed and put to his lips but he shook his head... "I am not thirsty." He said as he turned his head, the water being gushed out over his lips and then his cheek to run down his neck and chest. "I know why you still keep me here. And if you must know about the Alar i will tell you. Only because i am Generous." He said with a seething voice before he took a deep breath and began to speak to her... explaining it all.

[2010/08/02 15:22] Nocra Neuman: /me He had been captured now for nearly a full day and yet he continued to deny his own body refreshment. He was only a man with human strength and she knew that should he continue to deny himself food and drink, his body would only weaken even more. She assumed his pride was preventing him from giving in but still she had offered. "Suit yourself...get dehydrated..." As he told the story of his people she sat motionless and listened intently, nodding in certain portions to encourage him to continue. From what he explained they were rugged and their culture varied greatly from her own...but also there were similarities. "Tell me....why you chased me yesterday. You claim they were not your lands so it is not like you were protecting territory. Why did you follow me to the great beards home?"

[2010/08/02 15:27] Stirling Warblood: /me finished telling his story and listened to her question... "I am an Honorable people. I go to Skerry because the coin is good for a Mercenary as myself. I am skilled in battle with both Bow and Sword. Strategy is to me what Politics are to the Ubars of Cities." he said calmly.... "What i saw was a known enemy of their lands running freely through them. I went to find out why you were there. And what i got shown was Disrespect... But we've already been through that." he said to her. As for the Dehydration part... he had been captive for a week before and drank nothing and ate nothing, a day was nothing to him.

[2010/08/02 15:34] Nocra Neuman: /me "Over confidence will kill you one day.", she commented wisely and placed a palm against his chest, she could feel his heartbeat drumming and the blood still gushing from the puncture wounds washed down over her palm. Withdrawing her hand she placed her fingertips against her lips and suckled the blood from them. It was far too tempting to have him here, an enemy in her binds...bleeding freely. It tormented her like a fat kid in a candy store with no money. She could...have him if she wished but for some reason she had chosen not to take his flesh. She had heard not enough of his history, his culture and people to feel more in tune with who and what he was...but still she did not kill him. It puzzled her slightly as she had never been known for mercy but yet he still breathed. And there she sat conflicted in silence trying to form a reason as to why she allowed him life when there was no reason he had proven to her for this gracious act.

[2010/08/02 15:38] Stirling Warblood: /me smirked as he listened to her speaking of over confidence... "Yes. It will. And that day will be a glorious day." He said with the smirk upon his lips. He felt her hand press against his chest and she still sat upon his lap. He wondered what was going through her mind as she suckled the blood from her fingertips. He breathed slowly, his chest rising and falling, his shoulder stung with pain but it was slowly subsiding as his body became used to the pain. His one blue eye remained locked on her dark eyes and waiting to see what she would do to him next.

[2010/08/02 15:46] Nocra Neuman: /me Withouut hesitation she reached behind his back and flicked the blade of her dagger between his wrists slicing the binds free. She did not fear attack knowing his hands would have long since grown numb and would take several ehn to even an ahn to regain feeling and blood flow back into his purple swollen digits. She offered no explaination behind her reasoning for freeing him. "I to am an honorable people.", she replied at last. "And you claim I did not defeat you fairly even though it was you who attacked me first. So mine enemy, we will fight again and next time I shall spare you no mercy if you are foolish enough to attack me. I have treated you well during your time spent with me. I could have fed you to my clan as I have done to others but something about you still puzzles me and I can not understand what it is." She turned her head aside concealing her trouble and then stood slowly abandoning his lap and placing distance once more between their bodies.

[2010/08/02 16:09] Stirling Warblood: /me felt the binds being cut from his wrists and once they were, his arms moved infront of him and he began to rub at his wrists slowly, flexing his fingers to allow circulation to go to them... "I see now that you are." He said about her Honorable people and puled himself upwards to stand at his full height, towering above her... "Next time... I will be sure to keep my eye on you." he said in his deep voice. Blood running down his chest still from the wound in his shoulder.

[2010/08/02 16:15] Nocra Neuman: /me She glanced to his shoulder admiring the mark she had left on him and raised her chin slightly. "Come.", she ordered then spun away moving towards the ladder which she climbed swiftly and waited on top for him. IT would take him longer she realized since he had no feeling in his hands.

[2010/08/02 16:17] Stirling Warblood: /me doesnt say a word and runs off to cry in secret.

Rescuing Emme (Attempt #9)

[2010/08/02 01:35] Nocra Neuman: /me Glances over to Slip and Nosh, her eyes scanned over them with interest but she was not here for them. Turning away she fled from the docks in search of Din and what was hers.

[2010/08/02 01:38] Stirling Warblood: /me followed the black eyed girl after she ran from the docks. He tracked her steps and saw them leading to Din's establishment. Stopping ontop of one of the huts he put his hands around his mouth and shouted... "Mamba! What are you doing back here?!" he shouted.

[2010/08/02 01:41] Nocra Neuman: shouts: Entered the mans home through the usual method in to the side window which was broken and still had yet to be repaired thankfully. It was the fourth or fifth tim she had used this route. Sneaking inside she searched once again for her possession but as always found it not with his belongings. Cursing venomously she darted back outside into the welcoming embrace of the trees where she had more chance of concealing herself. In that moment she heard the haunting voice of Stirlings call and she debated an ehn on whether or not to answer. He was a beastly looking man, scarred from battle and she doubted her skills were much match for him. And so she held her silent and attempted to creep around him through the rolling hills.

[2010/08/02 01:43] Stirling Warblood: /me stared at the walls of Din's house as he heard no response. Drawing his sword from its sheath he ran at the house attempting to corner her within... "Answer me, Mamba!" He shouted as he ran to the house.

[2010/08/02 01:45] Nocra Neuman: /me Had thankfully made her escape from the window just in time and crept around the backside of the delapidated structure and to the crumbling wall where she crouched and listened for any sound of approaching steps. Her hand curled around the handle of her club prepared to draw it should he locate her current hiding place.

[2010/08/02 01:46] Stirling Warblood: /me runs into the house and looks around inside. It was dark and he couldnt see much but he didnt see any shape that would fit the girl within. Looking around to the left of the house he felt a breeze on his back and spun around. He saw the broken window and ran to it, looking outside into the swamp and shouting out at her... "Why do you run?! Did you not say you were of an Honorable People?!" He shouted. He wanted to see the mamba again. She was almost becoming an obsession to him, the first real Mamba he had come across.

[2010/08/02 01:48] Nocra Neuman: /me Honorable but not stupid....she thought to herself and reached down to the ground collecting a rock which was then hurled upwards over the wall. It arched and spiraled downwards landing atop the roof before rolling down the back side. She hoped that it might distract him long enough to sneak around.

[2010/08/02 01:49] Stirling Warblood: /me was about to shout again when he heard the rock crash onto the roof of the house. He spun around in the window cill and heard the thud behind the house on the ground. He jumped out of the window and raced around the backside. Seeing nothing he cursed and spit on the ground... "Childrens tactics!" He said to himself... He couldnt beleive he was so stupid. He turned around and looked up at the house, judging by where he heard the rock land he tried to guess where it might have come from and slowly began to walk with his sword out infront of him towards the direction he though it was.

[2010/08/02 01:55] Nocra Neuman: /me She had just been about to spin away and dart off when he turned around. Noting his sword was drawn she sank back down behind the wall and pulled her own club. There was no where to flee now with her back to the water and she didn't fancy swimming not in waters like these with bitey feesh. Sighing she forced herself to stand and move around the wall to face him. Her proud features visible in the dim light filtered through the trees. "Tal Alar.", she hissed in greeting.

[2010/08/02 01:58] Stirling Warblood: /me had just walked near the tree beside him. And right before she came around the corner of the wall he swung his sword in a wide arc, thinking he saw her hiding behind the tree though it was only some tall grass. In the Darkness and this swamp he was not used to, he seemed to think it was a good idea. But his sword cut into the tree and got stuck. He pulled on it and pulled and then he heard her voice behind him. He spun around, his hand still on the hilt of his sword as he looked to her... "There you are." He showed no signs of fear, though he did feel it. This Mamba seemed as stealthy as the stories he had heard... "Why do you come here again?" he asked her, trying to fake like he held his sword at the ready.
[2010/08/02 02:02] Nocra Neuman: /me She had watched him swing the blade and noted the chunks of bark which flew outwards. A small shiver raced through her knowing what damaged a blade such as that could do to one of her limbs. Yet she remained standing tall and masked her fear and uncertainty. "I seek something of mine.", she answered, "Something that had been stolen from me by one of yours. It is of value to me and so I risk my own fate to retrieve it." She hoped he would see the nobility in this act and leave her.

[2010/08/02 02:05] Stirling Warblood: /me still strained with the sword stuck in the tree as he listened to her. Trying to mask the strain in his arm as he pulled on the hilt... "These are not mine." He said waving his other hand around the swamp... "I am Alar. My wagon is sturdy outside the walls of Thentis and my Bosk graze there. I come here because the coin is good for a few swings of my sword." He said as he tilted his head towards her... "I know the man who lives there. Din. You are corect though, you risk your fate by coming here alone." He said as he tugged on the hilt still. He felt the sword wiggle abit, meaning he was making progress but until it was out of the tree he was defenseless.

[2010/08/02 02:09] Nocra Neuman: /me By then it was clear his blade was stuck as it had not yet been yanked free of the wood. A small grin formed upon her lips yet she dared not taunt him about it. At any moment his strength would master the sword and pluck it free from the trap it was currently confined in. The force of that blow would be more than enough to lop her in half. Discreetly she took a step back from him making certain there was distance between them. "He was warned that I would seek it. There is no secret, I warned him I would hunt him until the day either of us should die until I retrieve what is mine. But alas it is not here and so I shall go and return another time Alar."

[2010/08/02 02:12] Stirling Warblood: /me listened to her words and pulled on the hilt more hastily now. Not caring if she saw it was stuck or not. He planted both feet on the trunk of the tree and began pulling back, using his legs to pull it. He let out a roar and the sword came free but the force of his pulling would send him flying back into the corroded wall behind them and slam his back shoulderblades against it. One of the rocks uptop would fall down and land on his head, dazing him as he layed there for amoment.. He spoke up slurred... "Another time... why not now?" he asked while his head rolled from side to side.

[2010/08/02 02:17] Nocra Neuman: /me "Why not what not?", she asked as her eyes widened in slight surprise at the force of his blade toppling one of the great stones off its wall perch. Awaiting his reply she took another step back moving at an angle so that she could always keep her gaze upon him. There was something about the man that made her both curious yet cautious. He was a formidable opponent, one worthy of her attention and perhaps one which she might mark for the thrill of a blood moon hunt. But now was not the time to hunt, she was not prepared and if he was to be a target she wanted to learn more about him and the people he came from.

[2010/08/02 02:21] Stirling Warblood: /me heard her words and he put his free hand against he head until the dazed feeling left his body. He pushed himself to his feet, the dust and bits of rock that fell onto his shoulders toppled over onto the ground beside him and he raised his head, his blonde mane moving and shifting back behind him. His one blue eye looking at her... "Why not?" he asked as he stepped to the side, moving up the hill but keeping the same distance away from her. His sword held out as if he was circling her. "Very well then. I will allow you to leave this land as i did before. Should you wish to test Mamba against Alar. You will find me camped outside the walls of Thentis." he said. With that he spun his sword in his hand and slid it into its sheath.

[2010/08/02 02:27] Nocra Neuman: /me She laughed then boldly and without reservation. He amused her deeply, like a child he lacked balance and tried to do things with brute force. It made him clumsy to watch, first with the tree and then the wall. Her poster relaxed slightly releasing the coils of tension she had formerly felt. He would be strong perhaps but clearly he lacked grace and without both, he would easily fall against her she assumed naturally. Slowly she formed a semi-circle around him, prowling like an untamed beast, her feral features dark with mirth. "You will allow me Alar?", she answered still hissing with laughter, "I need not your permission. I am a free and shall travel where it pleases me. Though if you wish to try and stop me from doing so, you can try Alar....but I doubt you would wish to do something so...foolish." Her swung her head in his direction and stepped boldly past him moving with light bounding steps that scantly made any sound as her feet pressed against the damp moss coated ground.

[2010/08/02 02:30] Stirling Warblood: /me felt a rumble deep in his stomach when she spoke and walked right passed him. "I am Alar. I am of a Generous and Honorable people. But I will not take being talked to like that from something from CHILDRENS TALES!" He shouted as he spun around and swung his sword at her back with as much force as he swung at the tree.

[2010/08/02 02:31] Nocra Neuman: /me Was prepared for this, her arm swung in a sweeping motion, club gripped firmly in her grasp. The shards of bone protruding from the hand created device taking aim towards his side as she spun.

[2010/08/02 02:31] GM 3.3: Nocra Neuman Has Captured Stirling Warblood!

[2010/08/02 02:32] Stirling Warblood: /me was distracted by a bird in the sky wich is why didnt block or fight back.

[2010/08/02 02:35] Nocra Neuman: /me Smirked as he fell so easily that it had hardly been worth the effort. She laughed again so loudly that her voice echoed back from the hills. She crouched upon his spine keeping him pinned into the dirt as her hands worked quickly to disarm him. The bow she plucked off his belt and slung it over her own shoulder having always a need for a spare. The sword was difficult to move so she dragged it across the ground and concealed it on the other side of the wall.

[2010/08/02 02:36] Nocra Neuman: /me Returning to him she placed a knee on the back of his neck, enough force could break it so she kept him positioned this way just in case he should awaken before he had been properly bound. Grabbing ahold of his arms she lashed a cord of binding fiber around each wrist and pulled taunt in firm capture knots.

[2010/08/02 02:40] Nocra Neuman: /me She felt him awakening and pushed down with her knee so that he would feel her weight upon it but not hard enough to cut his air supply or break it. "Do not move Alar...", she whispered finishing with the bindings on his wrists. "You have been taken by a mamba but not just any mamba. I am Nocra, Queen of all clans...My blood is the eldest of any known Mambas left in these lands. You attacked me, yet I defeated you." She reached behind her pulling out a dagger from her belt and positioned it against his back taking aim at his kidney, any sudden movement by him would sent the honed edge into the organ. "I am going to release my hold on your neck now and when I do you will stand slowly...If you try to run I will shoot you down and kill you. Walk slowly in front of me towards the docks now."

[2010/08/02 02:43] Stirling Warblood: /me growled as he woke up to find the mamba's knee on the back of his neck. When she bound his arms he pushed himself to his feet and listened to her introduction, scoffing... "You are the Queen of a people i have not seen but one. You." he said before he raised his head up high and spoke... "I am Alar. Stirling WarBlood, Born of the Alar. My blood is of the purest of them. I will not run, Alar never run." He said before spitting onto the ground some of the blood in his mouth and began walking towards the docks, thinking of a way to use this to his advantage.

[2010/08/02 02:46] Nocra Neuman: /me She moved stealthfully behind him until they arrived at the docks. Without a word to him she hooked a length of rope around his wrist bindings to form a temporary leash and gave it a sudden jerking motion to force him aboard the departing ship.

Rescuing Emme (Attempt #8)

[2010/07/31 20:45] Orpheus Fairlock: /me slammed his meaty fist against the door, the huge ass door that it looked like only a giant could open "Let me in, it's Orpheus from Einar! I have some information for you!"

[2010/07/31 20:48] Orpheus Fairlock: /me looked to Joshua and said "Unfortunately no one seems to know anything about a stockpile." His gaze found Nocra then, he had not seen Din at all in the meantime, and so he said to her "Don't worry, I am still working on your doll..."

[2010/07/31 20:50] Ashlee Mendelsohn: /me pouts as she rubs her cheek from the door being slammed against her moving back she watched the crowd form around

[2010/07/31 20:50] Orpheus Fairlock: /me looked at Ashlee, wondered what the condition of Ryyley was, but was afraid to ask with all the Black Talon around.

[2010/07/31 20:51] Nocra Neuman: /me Her features were hopeful as she wandered over having heard the mans voice call with a claim of information but when he spoke they fell instantly. She wanted her belonging back and since he had no information of interest to her she grew less excited about the mans visit. Turning her attention to the girl beside him she studied her thoughtfully having not seen a ginger in many years. "Tal former captive of mine...Tal jira...", she hissed in greeting to them both.

[2010/07/31 20:55] Orpheus Fairlock: /me canted his head like a good Gorean and forced a smile Nocra's way, she had held him captive after all. Still this was Gor, and that was yesterday, he liked to try and turn over a new leaf. Business was business and all that. It seemed as quiet here as it did in Einar, though he noted that Joshua could not stop running around the camp. He wondered if Joshua would ever return with his sword, perhaps that is what he was doing. It was a fine Primus Lilly sword, he hoped that it was not lost to him forever.

[2010/07/31 20:56] Joshua Pilote: /me walks up to the man wiht an old rusty used sword , a bit of blood on it from earlier, he hands it to him nodding' take it... its stained with foulness..'' he holds the sword out ... '' i bid you and yours well sir ''

[2010/07/31 20:57] Orpheus Fairlock: /me watched Joshua approach hopefully, thinking that now he would get his sword back. He had one of their swords, taken from the weapons rack in the North East building of their camp. He took the sword from his belt and handed it back to Joshua in exchange, his eyes lighting up as he found his own sword in his hands once more. "Many thanks to you sir" he turned and looked hopefully at the door, hoping beyond all things that they would let them both out without harm.

[2010/07/31 20:58] Joshua Pilote: /me nods'' i am amazed that you came back for a sword, and returned mine !"' laughing he opens the door..'' you are free to go as freely as you came .... when you approach, wtih out a bow, in a walk .. we rarly attack '' grinning he nods '' now be well ''

[2010/07/31 20:59] Orpheus Fairlock: /me nodded and cast his gaze back to both He and Nocra "I wish you all well..I will have news of your doll when I know more."

[2010/07/31 20:59] Nocra Neuman: /me "Be wells.", she called back to the man who she found pleasing on the eyes with his flesh inks. "Don't forget what I want!", she added hoping he would one day return again with something for her next time.
